The Darwin Pharmacy, opened in the 1920s and was from the very beginning focused on the officinal and magistral preparations. Acquired in 2000 by the chemist S. Mazilu ,the pharmacy moved a few years later in the Franz Merjay street, located in this south of Brussels and famous for its Art Nouveau buildings.
It was after a request for advice on a product to fight against hair loss that M. Mazilu intensified the activity of the laboratory through the development of an original formula, which still today remains one of the best -sellers from the pharmacy.
The development of this first product, followed by many others (over a hundred), was the beginning of the rise of the Darwin Pharmacy.
Involved since his studies in preventive medicine, it is quite natural that Pharmacist S. Mazilu specialized in “pro-aging”, collaborating with all the well-known doctors in this field of activity.
The next step was the development of a range of pharmaceutical grade “anti-aging” cosmetics formulated with the highest requirements. Four criteria guided the development of the range:
- high-quality assets (ingredients), more 90% plants origin;
- a high concentration of active ingredients, among the most sought after and the most effective, at doses objectified by studies;
- a hypo-allergenic range, not tested on animals
- Excellent value for money
